Semi-Permanent Eyebrows Aftercare Instructions
It is crucial to adhere to the aftercare instructions provided and use only the recommended products from your appointment. Proper color retention and healing are significantly influenced by your skin type and, more importantly, your home care routine. Neglecting these instructions may result in suboptimal healing. While the artist’s work accounts for 30-50% of the outcome, the remaining 50-70% depends on your skin and aftercare. Treat the area as you would an open wound. Full results will not be visible until at least one month after the initial session.
Healing Stages and Duration
2 Hours: Redness or irritation will subside.
Day 1-2: Avoid sweating and water contact on the new eyebrows. You may gently clean your face with warm water, avoiding soap and the brow area.
Day 2: Eyebrows will appear slightly darker.
Day 1-4: Apply a thin layer of the provided Aftercare Cream with a Q-tip twice daily for 3-4 days. Itching is normal; reduce it gently with Q-tips and aftercare cream if needed.
Day 4-6: The pigment has not fully peeled; the color will fade as it heals beneath the skin.
Day 10: Color may appear very light as the skin resurfaces. The color will gradually reappear.
Day 14: Eyebrows are nearly fully healed.
6-8 Weeks: The final color will be visible, and the eyebrows should be fully healed.
Important Reminders
Do not pick, peel, or scratch the area to avoid scarring or color loss.
Do not touch the area except when applying Vitamin A & D ointment or Aftercare cream.
Do not be alarmed if most of the color flakes off; this is part of the normal healing process.
Avoid for 14 Days During Healing
Tanning
Swimming, saunas, Jacuzzis
Hot tubs, steam showers, long baths
Facials and massages
Intense workouts
Sweating
Touching eyebrows or sleeping on your face
Cleaning eyebrows regularly
Being around bacteria
Wearing eyebrow makeup
Soaps and creams around eyebrows
Skin peels or products containing Retinol
The sun can cause pigment to fade, so always apply sunblock to the pigmented area.
Eyeliner/Lashline Aftercare Instructions
It is crucial to follow the aftercare instructions provided and use only the recommended products from your appointment. Proper color retention and healing depend on your skin type and, more importantly, your home care routine.
Day 1: Slight stinging sensation and redness are normal.
Day 1-2: Avoid sweating and water contact on the new eyeliner. You may gently clean your face with water, avoiding soap and the eyeliner areas.
Day 2: The eyeliner will start to form scabs and may look dark and thick.
Day 3-7: Apply ointment twice daily for up to 3-7 days for thick eyeliner (not for lash line enhancement). Swelling may occur, especially in the morning. Exercising the eyes by blinking actively for 2 minutes in the morning can help reduce swelling and puffiness.
Day 4-10: As the skin heals, the scabs will fall off in random pieces and may look patchy. Avoid pulling off the scabs that are dried on the lashes. Ensure the scabs are soft enough to slide off from the lashes, using a mascara brush if needed.
Day 5-14: The color will fade approximately 40-60% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than expected. To achieve the perfect eyeliner, a touch-up appointment will be necessary to perfect the shape and color. No eye makeup is allowed until the scabs completely fall off. Avoid sweaty exercises such as hot saunas, hot yoga, and swimming.
Day 14: Eyeliners are nearly fully healed.
